Fresh off celebrating his team’s Super Bowl berth, Davis took to Twitter to fire off some devastating tweets at Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas, who was held without a reception on four targets in Tampa Bay’s win in the divisonal playoff round. Michael Thomas seemed to feel wronged on Tuesday evening when he sounded off on Twitter after reportedly serving a one-game suspension in Week 5 for punching a teammate.

Shortly after news broke that the Seattle Seahawks traded for Jamal Adams, New Orleans Saints star Michael Thomas made it known he wants Jadeveon Clowney on his squad.

Taking to Twitter, Thomas wrote, “Clowney to New Orleans or I don’t want to hear it.”

For what it’s worth, after the Adams blockbuster trade, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN wrote on Twitter that it “all but closes [the] book on Clowney.”

Remember, the Seahawks have always maintained that Clowney could potentially come back and play for them in 2020. That no longer seems like a viable option.

Adding Clowney to the Saints roster would certainly be a power move to help the franchise stay competitive in the now-brutally tough NFC South. The question at this time is whether New Orleans has enough cap space to make such a move.

Given the reports that Clowney is looking for significantly more money than that, it seems unlikely that he will join the Saints in 2020. Of course, perhaps at this time after going the entire offseason and into camp without any significant offers, he might be willing to change his tune and ink a team-friendly deal to play for a contender. Since being selected first overall by the Houston Texans out of South Carolina in 2014, Clowney has had his ups and downs. Injuries defined his early career, as he missed most of his rookie season and a few games in his next two campaigns for Houston. However, since then Clowney has been able to stay on the field more consistently and has made a big impact as a dominant all-around force off the edge.

Though he hasn’t racked up elite sack totals, Clowney is very tough against the run and makes plenty of splash plays worthy of highlight reels. (Like this.) Garmin nuvi 3150 traffic software download mac.

All told, Clowney has tallied 236 tackles, 71 for a loss, 32 sacks, eight forced fumbles, eight fumble recoveries, one interception and three defensive touchdowns in six seasons as a pro.
